Identity: Biloxi Art Museum (BAM)

The color blue infuses the identity of the Department of Education within the museum. Blue represents knowledge, intelligence, truth, and sincerity, as well as consciousness and intellect itself. We chose blue for Education to reflect these ideas.
Purple for the overall Museum Identity, as well as to represent Exhibitions. Purple supposedly symbolizes power, ambition, independence, wisdom, creativity, and mystery - thus it is a color perfectly befitting of the wonders found in museum galleries.
Orange for the Department of Research. The color orange is said to represent fascination, determination, enthusiasm, and success - all excellent qualities for researchers and scientists.

Elevator signage, b&w: the triangles act as arrows to direct traffic around the museum. This particular grouping of signage is the same as the one seen above. The larger triangle informs people disembarking the elevators which floor they've landed on, as well as directs museum goers to the floor's exhibition halls and restrooms. The upward and downward pointing arrows inform curious viewers what attractions are on the floors above and below.
